In the design and construction of the gardens Curaçao’s natural vegetation - such as the Bougainville - has been used wherever this was possible. Furthermore, there are many types of palm and cactuses, such as aloe vera and agave, plus various fruit-bearing trees with bananas, papayas and mangos.

The large variety of tropical birds in the park rivals the vegetation: you can find cheeky banana quits, multi-coloured orioles, and the brightly coloured wild parrots of Curaçao. You will also regularly find iguanas who, just like you, love recharging in the tropical sun.
